He announced his arrival in a blockbuster way by taking the world by storm with his stunning centuries across formats. He impressed one and all with his stunning performances.

However, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli and BCCI kept faith in him and gave him chances to prove himself. In the ongoing 5-match Test series as well, KL Rahul traveled with the team as a backup on standby but when he was given the opportunity to open the innings for team India once again, in the absence of injured Mayank Agarwal and Shubman Gill, he grabbed the opportunity with both the hands and made a stunning comeback to form.

Rahul became the third Indian opener in the history of the longest format of the game to score a century at Lord’s. On the opening day of the 2nd Test match, KL reached the triple-figure in 212 balls and by the time he reached his century, he had hit 9 boundaries and 1 sixes.

Meanwhile, cricket fans and the cricket fraternity are all praises for the cricketer for his stunning comeback into the game. Among many, a Twitter user Madhav Sharma, who is a popular cricket writer, came up with an important message for the fans.

In his Tweet, Madhav wrote that KL Rahul’s knock has proved that we all need to be patient and trust the system and BCCI when they give chances to a talented player. He wrote:

#KLRahul’s innings has once again proved that we need to pe patient with talented players. We have to trust the system and BCCI when they back a talented player and give him a long rope”
