Angry Fans Are Slamming SunRisers Hyderabad On Twitter, Here’s Why

SunRisers Hyderabad

Former SunRisers Hyderabad’s captain David Warner has been going through a tough phase with the SRH management deciding to drop him. It was during the first leg of the IPL 2021, when he acked from captaincy and was replaced with Kane Williamson after SRH had one of their worst starts to an IPL season.

Now as the second-leg of IPL 2021 resumed in the UAE, Warner only featured in the first two games for SRH but aggregated just 2 runs. He was then dropped from the squad with Jason Roy taking his place in the team.

He has also been missing out from the SunRisers Hyderabad dugout in the last two games of SRH and if reports are to be believed than Warner was not allowed to travel with the team. Mufaddal Vohra, a popular fan on Twitter tweeted after having confirmed from Boria Majumdar, one of the prominent Indian sports journalists took to his Twitter and broke this news. He wrote:

David Warner wasn’t even allowed to travel with the team to the stadium last night for the game.”

He also made it clear that he was not allowed to travel with the team. He wrote:

I cleared this with Boria sir. I asked him Warner didn’t travel or he wasn’t allowed? He said he wasn’t allowed.”

The tweets have created quite a stir on social media. Fans are slamming SunRisers Hyderabad’s team management for now allowing David Warner to travel with the squad.

Meanwhile, the head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad Trevor Bayliss cleared the air by revealing that Warner was not the only player who sat in the team hotel for Monday’s match with Kedar Jadhav and Shahbaz Nadeem also sitting out. He said:

“We can’t make the final so have made a decision that we want the young players to experience not just the matches but time at the ground, around the set-up, and for this match we made the decision. “He was not the only experienced player we left back at the hotel”

“We have a number of young players that haven’t been to the ground. Even as reserves. We wanted to give them an opportunity to come along and experience that. That may continue for a few more games yet. We don’t know.”

He added:

“We have got to sit down in a day or two and pick a team and pick a squad of 18. That’s just the way it is. Dave is obviously watching the game back in the hotel and giving the guys support. It is the same as everyone else. We are all in this together.”
