After a glittering career in international cricket and somewhat of an extended rather dragged stint in the IPL, MS Dhoni clarified his stance that he will be playing for one more season.
He made it clear that he would like to hang his boots after playing in Chennai and this was an emotional revelation for the fans who have been by the side of the big man ever since his inception.
Dhoni bade adieu to cricket in the international circuit on 15th August, 2020 post which he continued with his IPL exploits. However, from his performances seemed to have become rusty as people could barely recognize his heroics.
He will also be playing the role of a mentor for the upcoming T20 World Cup for India where the journey for the Blue Tigers belong with a clash against their arch-rivals, Pakistan.
This is what Dhoni had to say about Bollywood
There are a lot of speculations building around which states whether Dhoni will be joining Bollywood afer he retires from cricket completely. When asked about it, Dhoni replied, “You know Bollywood is not really my cup of tea. As far as advertisements are concerned, I am happy to do them. When it comes to movies, I feel it’s a very tough profession and very difficult to manage.”
As per the reports of India Today, he was heard quoting, “I would let the film stars do it because they are really good at it. I will stick to cricket. The closest I can come to acting is advertisements and nothing more than that.”
The Chennai Super Kings is comfortably stationed in the second spot of the points table as they have managed to belt out a phenomenal season. Their opening partnership of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf Du Plessis have been the highlight of the tournament.
