Australia’s star opener David Warner’s wife Candice Warner has shared a perfect message for all the critics and doubters, who questioned Warner’s inclusion in the squad for the WC. Well, it was just a few weeks back when he was discarded from the playing XI of SunRisers Hyderabad in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League for not being fit enough.
David Warner endured the worst season of IPL this time. After being removed from the position of the skipper of SRH, he was later excluded from the playing XI. Several fans and pundits raised questions over the 35-year-old’s selection in the T20i WC.
However, the swashbuckling batsman made a stunning comeback in the ongoing T20I World Cup 2021. He is one of the main reasons that his team reached the finals of the T20 World Cup. Warner let his bat do all the talking as he stole the show with his batting heroics in the Semi-final match against Pakistan.
On Sunday, he became the highest run-scorer for his side in the high-voltage tournament. He played another match-winning knock to help his team chase the score. He played a vintage knock and reached another half-century as he smashed the Kiwi bowlers all around the ground. He scored 53 runs off 38 balls, smashing 4 boundaries and 3 sixes. Later, he was awarded the Player of the Match trophy for his amazing performances in the tournament for Australia.
Meanwhile, after the match, David Warner’s wife Candice Warner took to his social media and took a hilarious dig at the critics, who pointed fingers at Warner. She wrote:
“Out of form, too old and slow! congratulations @davidwarner31″
