Ravi Ashwin Is Very Impressed With Kane Williamson’s Astonishing Batting Against Aus

India’s veteran off-spinner, Ravi Ashwin was left amazed with the stellar show put up by the New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson in the ongoing final clash of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 against mighty Australia at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

As the match kickstarted, Aaron Finch won the toss and decided to go by the trend as he opted to field first. New Zealand was off to a very slow start with 32/1 in the powerplay overs. New Zealand was given an early blow as they lost the hero of their semi-final match – Daryl Mitchell early on 11. Martin Guptill also failed to live up to the expectations when they required the most. He was dismissed for 28 off 35 balls.

Kane Williamson, who has been hot and cold throughout the tournament, walked out to bat with a lot of responsibilities on his shoulders. Kane Williamson started off slow but he soon accelerated his pace and revived the innings with a stunning 32-ball half-century.

Soon after reaching the half-century, Williamson unleashed an onslaught and smashed the bowlers all over the park. From Adam Zampa to Mitchell Starc, Kane Williamson was in no mood to spare anyone. However, the skipper was dismissed before he could reach the three-digit score. He scored 85 off 48 deliveries before he was dismissed to Josh Hazlewood in the 18th over of the game. His stunning knock was laced by 10 fours and 3 sixes.

Meanwhile, veteran India off-spinner Ravi Ashwin was left amazed with the stunning performance of Williamson, especially the way Williamson smashed a beamer for a boundary in the 11th over of the game. Ashwin took to his Twitter and hailed Williamson for his brilliance. He wrote:

“How on earth did Kane Williamson get that high full toss away for a boundary in front of mid wicket ? #NZvAUS”
