Ashish Nehra Reveals Indian Bowler Who Gets Angry If He Isn’t Included In Playing XI

Former Indian bowler Ashish Nehra, who was hailed as one of the best bowlers during his heydays, has worked with many players for India and for RCB as well. Recently, he named an Indian pacer who used to get upset when his name wasn’t in the playing XI.

Ashish Nehra heaped praises on Mohammed Siraj for his rapid rise in Indian cricket. Coming from a humble background, Siraj has emerged out to be one of India’s most important players today, owing to his brilliant performances. Ashish Nehra, who was Siraj’s teammate at the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and bowling coach at Royal Challengers Bangalore in past (RCB) heaped praises on the Indian pacer for his skill-set and fitness level. Talking about Siraj’s rise, Nehra said:

“He was with me at RCB when I was the coach. He also was in the team when I was at SunRisers Hyderabad. I always knew that he had the skills. Talking about the skillset, it also depends on the player… how he hones his skills and fitness levels.”

“He had the pace, swing, and an athletic body too. We see many players doing the rounds of the NCA and visiting the physios after struggling with fitness. But Siraj wasn’t that sort of a player. He stepped into the IPL after playing Ranji and has never looked back,”

Nehra also revealed how Siraj used to get upset when his name wasn’t there in the playing XI. He revealed:

Siraj has made the most of it. He’s mentally strong as well and has that hunger to play. He used to get upset when his name was not there in the XI. When he was at RCB, he would eagerly wait to perform and get better with every match. That speaks volumes about his character,”
