5 Wicketkeepers Every Franchise Will Target In IPL Auction

It's going to be a great IPL auction for wicketkeepers

IPL Auction (2022) is going to be one hell of a show as world’s best players will be up for auction for IPL franchises after a long period of time and franchise owners will be fighting against each other to finalise the best possible combinations for their teams.

Earlier, all the eight franchises had retained their set of players as per the rules set by the BCCI and now they would be hoping to buyback their best players during the IPL auction 2022.

In this post, we will have a look at the top 5 wicketkeepers that are available for IPL auction.

1) Ishan Kishan

Mumbai Indians released their young and dashing wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan and now he is all set to be one of the hottest options for the franchise owners. Ishan has played 45 IPL matches and scored 1133 runs, including 8 half-centuries. Kishan is a kind of player who can bat anywhere in the batting order and he has impeccable skills behind the stumps with the gloves.

2) Jonny Bairstow

England’s swashbuckling wicketkeeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow was rebased by Sunrisers Hyderabad after a successful stint and now franchise owners will be keen on getting him in their squad as he has proved himself to be a very good opening option in the Indian conditions.

3) KS Bharat

KS Bharat was one of the finds of IPL 2021 and all the scouts will be forming a strategy to get him in their squads. Bharat is a very talented wicketkeeper-batsman and he is capable of smashing big hits at any stage of the innings. His canoes for RCB in IPL 2021 can make him a millionaire in the IPL auction 2022.

4) Wriddhiman Saha

Wriddhiman Saha seems like an unattractive option in T20 cricket but he has time and again shown that he can be a very useful option with the bat at the top of the order in the shortest format of the game. Also, he is, arguably, the best wicketkeeper In the world. We are hopeful that he will trigger a small bidding war among the franchise owners.

5) Quinton de Kock

Quinton de Kock has announced his retirement from Test cricket and he has more time to spend on franchise cricket. In IPL auction 2022, de Kock will be one of the most preferred options for teams that are looking for first-choice wicketkeeper-batsman, as he brings a lot of experience, class and controlled aggression with him.
