CSK vs RCB: The defending champions Chennai Super Kings finally registered their first win of the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League by dismissing Royal Challengers Bangalore by 23 runs at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai.

The four-time champions had kicked off to a disastrous note in the ongoing season, having lost 4 consecutive defeats in the ongoing season. The yellow army was desperately looking for a win and it finally came after an enthralling contest against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The Men in Yellow put up a dominating performance in all the departments of the game. Asked to bat first, Chennai Super Kings’ batters Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dube joined hands with each other and rained fours and sixes at the stadium as they smashed the talented RCB bowlers to all the corners of the ground. Shivam Dube (95* off 46) and Robin Uthappa (88 off 50) took the game by storm and posted a huge target of  216 runs for RCB.

Later, it was never going to be easy for RCB to chase down a huge target. RCB started off well, however, they suffered a top-order batting collapse. The middle-order tried to put up a solid counterpunch, which increased the hopes of the RCB fans but it wasn’t enough.

In the end, Dinesh Karthik played a great cameo, however, he couldn’t provide his side with another match-winning knock.
