IPL 2022: Royal Challengers Bangalore handed the table-toppers — Rajasthan Royals their first defeat of the season as they registered a marvelous win. The game between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore was a contest that the fans were waiting for a long time.

As both the teams locked horns at the Wankhede Stadium last night, all eyes were on former teammates Yuzvendra Chahal and Virat Kohli. Yuzvendra Chahal, who has been one of the best performers for RCB was released by the team ahead of IPL 2022 mega-auctions, however, he was later on bought by Rajasthan Royals. This was for the first time in the ongoing season that both the former teammates locked horns against each other.

Yuzvendra Chahal, former RCB spinner, produced an exceptional bowling spell as he haunted his former team, however, it was his assistance in Virat Kohli’s run-out that has grabbed all the limelight.

Well, the incident took place on the ninth over of RCB’s innings when the delivery from Chahal went off David Willey’s pads to the leg-side. Looking for a quick single, Kohli took off straight away, however, Willey refused.

Sanju Samson, RR’s wicket-keeper captain, reacted quickly by sprinting to his right. He quickly collected the ball and threw off-balance towards Chahal at the striker’s end. Chahal wasted no time and dislodged the bails in time before Kohli could make it. Virat walked back to the pavilion after scoring just 5 off 6.
