IPL 2022: A Fan Accused Harsha Bhogle Of Creating “Rifts” And Got A Brilliant Reply

The ‘Voice of Indian cricket’, as Sachin Tendulkar noted, Harsha Bhogle is widely regarded as one of the finest cricket commentators of the game. The 60-year-old commentator had started his journey when he was only 19-years-old with All India Radio in Hyderabad and ever since then there has been no turning back for the legendary commentator.

Harsha is very active on social media, where he gives his opinions and shares thoughts related to the performance of cricketers. In the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League, Harsha has been conducting various polls and ‘Question and Answer’ based sessions to interact with his fans. While fans are happily taking part his interactive sessions, there was one who tried to accuse him of creating a rift among the fans.

Well, on Tuesday, Harsha Bhogle took to his official Twitter handle and asked his fans a very interesting question regarding the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore. In his Tweet, Harsha asked the fans about their opinion on who has been the greatest RCB player over the last 15 editions of the IPL. He wrote:

Like we did with #KKR yesterday, this is for fans of @RCBTweets. Over the last 15 editions of the #IPL who, in your opinion, has been the greatest #RCB player. – Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers or Yuzvendra Chahal”

Well, the Tweet didn’t go down well with a fan, who tried to accuse Bhogle of creating a rift among the fans by asking such questions. The fan wrote:

Trying to create rifts eh..?”

Bhogle was quick to notice the Tweet and come up with a reply to it. In his reply, Bhogle schooled the fan about his intentions behind creating such interactive polls. He wrote:

“No, no, not at all. When I do these polls, I want to know what the fans feel because they are genuinely invested in the team and have an emotional connect. That is different from being a commentator or an analyst. Cheers”
