IPL 2022: Fans Have Gone Berserk After Faf du Plessis’ ‘Fabulous’ Knock

Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis played a giant knock to rescue his side from a disastrous situation in the ongoing IPL 2022 match against Lucknow Super Giants at the DY Patil Stadium. The stylish captain played a captains’ innings and carried the side throughout until the end, just when his side needed him the most.

Asked to bat first, Faf du Plessis walked out to bat after former captain and batting maestro Virat Kohli was dismissed for a golden duck. Though, he took some time to settle on the field, but soon he switched gears and started smashing the bowlers of LSG to all the corners of the ground. LSG bowlers managed to strike at regular intervals however they couldn’t stop the Faf storm.

Faf du Plessis, who failed to make a big impact with the bat since his sensational knock of 88 runs in RCB’s first game of IPL 2022, anchored the innings to perfection. However, he was dismissed on the penultimate ball of the final over. He missed out on just 4 runs from completing the much-deserving century.

Faf du Plessis smashed 11 fours and 2 sixes, in his sensational knock of 96 runs off 64 balls. All thanks to his sensational knock, RCB posted a competitive target of 181 runs on the scoreboard.
