Though, he played only three balls but he left a mark on the game. He scored 10 off three balls, which consisted of a stunning six and a four.

Impressed with his 360-degree stroke-play and crucial cameos, recently, Lucknow’s skipper KL Rahul showered praises on him. Rahul had also given Ayush Badoni the nickname “Baby AB” for his amazing batting skills. He had said:

He’s baby AB. He has been phenomenal from the first day. For a little boy he packs a punch and plays 360 degrees, so happy for him as he grabbed the opportunity. It was not ideal for him to walk out with us four down but he did well under pressure and hopefully he can continue doing that,”

Meanwhile, fans on social media were not at all impressed with KL Rahul comparing the young talent to the legendary player AB de Villiers. Several fans slammed KL Rahul and others for calling Badoni ‘Baby AB’, while pointing out that the cricketer should be given space and time to explore at the moment. There were many who highlighted how unnecessary comparisons will put unnecessary pressure on the young talent.
