So far, in the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League, Umran Malik has bowled really fast, however, he clocked the faster delivery of the competition as he bowled at the speed of 153.3 kmph against Gujarat Titans in the ongoing IPL 2022 game at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai.
In the game last night against Gujarat Titans, Umran Malik once again became the talk of the town because of his pace bowling. He came to bowl for SunRisers in the seventh over against Gujarat Titans and his first delivery was a bouncer that took star all-rounder Hardik Pandya by surprise and it hit him on his helmet.
Pandya shook off the blow by slamming Umran for back-to-back boundaries. But Malik bounced back and ended the over by trapping Matthew Wade plumb lbw from round the wicket. During his spell, Umran bowled the fastest delivery of the ongoing IPL 2022.
Meanwhile, the sensational bowler has been receiving praises from all corners. Among many, former England skipper Michael Vaughan took to his Twitter handle and made a big prediction that the SRH fast bowler would play for the Indian Cricket team very soon. In his Tweet, Vaughan also opined that if he was a part of the BCCI, he would first send Umran to play for the County cricket this summer so that he can grow first. He wrote:
“Umran Malik will play for India very soon … If I was the @BCCI I would be sending him to play some County cricket this summer to help him develop first though … #IPL2022″
