IPL 2022: Rohit Sharma Is Getting Heavily Trolled On Twitter

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma is having an awful time in the IPL both with the bat and as a captain. Having lost 6 out of 6 matches, MI needed their skipper to step up, however, the opener couldn’t even open his account as he bagged a 2-ball duck against Mukesh Choudhary.

The left-arm angle and swing of Choudhary were always going to test Rohit. And the CSK seamer made the most of Rohit’s weakness. Looking for inswing, the pacer went full and in line of the stumps on the first ball which Sharma managed to dig out.

Sharma, however, couldn’t control his shot on the second ball – a full-length delivery swinging into his pads. Rohit leaned forward-looking to tap it on the leg side but managed to hit it with the inside part of his bat that turned upon impact and the batter couldn’t keep the ball down. The lob went straight to Mitchell Santner who was standing a couple of yards inside the 30-meter circle than the usual mid-on position.

Sharma had a shocked look on his face because of this soft dismissal for a duck. This was his fourth score of 10 runs or lesser in 7 innings this season.

Although Sharma has got three solid starts in previous matches, he’s failed to convert any of them into a big score, with his best being 41. He has scored a total of 114 runs in 7 innings at a poor average of 16.28 while striking at 126. His average is the worst of all the MI batters who have played a minimum of 4 innings this season.

As Rohit Sharma bagged a duck, fans came up with hilarious memes trolling the MI skipper’s poor form.
