What a sensational knock from KL Rahul. The Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul led his side from the front as he played a captain’s knock against Mumbai Indians to help his side post a huge total on the scoreboard.

After being asked to bat first, KL Rahul walked out to open the innings with Quinton de Kock. KL and Quinton de Kock gave a flying start to Lucknow Super Giants as they added 52 runs but this partnership came to an end in the sixth over. Following this, he formed a stunning 72-run stand with Manish Pandey, who departed after scoring 38 runs.

While the batters kept falling from the other end, KL Rahul kept going and remained unbeaten till the last ball. KL was at his scintillating best as he smashed the Mumbai Indians bowlers to all the corners of the ground.

KL Rahul reached the three-figure mark in the 19th over of the innings. The knock was special for more than one reason. The stylish batter marked his 100th IPL match with a stunning century. Yes, you read that right. KL was playing his 100th IPL game today and what would have been a better way to celebrate the occasion with a century? He is also the first batter from Lucknow Super Giants to score a century. KL’s sensational knock of 103 runs was laced with 9 fours and 5 sixes.
