Rajasthan Royals’ star bowler Yuzvendra Chahal is in some sensational form in the ongoing 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. He has been a match-winners in the tournament and his spin prowess has been one of the determining factors in the success of the Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing season.

On Sunday, Yuzvendra Chahal continued with his sensational form as he helped his side by winning the fourth game of the ongoing season by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 wickets at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

The match was balanced with four overs remaining as the Shreyas Iyer needed 40 runs to win and this is when Yuzvendra Chahal walked in and snatched the game away from KKR. He picked the first hat-trick of the season.

Coming into the bowl the 17th over when KKR was at 178/4, which turned out to be his dream over that saw him concede just 2 runs and picked 4 wickets. This included the dismissals of Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Mavi, Sheldon Jackson, and Pat Cummins.

He first dismissed Venkatesh Iyer, who danced down the track, before the ball went past the blade and landed straight in the hands of Sanju Samson. In the next wicket, he dismissed the big fish KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer who was batting on 85 and was looking all set to take KKR home. Shivam Mavi and Pat Cummins were dismissed in quick succession.

At the end of the game, Chahal ended with figures of 5/40 in four overs, which happens to be his first-ever five-wicket haul in the IPL.
