Fans Celebrate After MS Dhoni Confirms His Participation In IPL 2023

Definitely Yes! MS Dhoni has finally ended all the speculations over his future in the Indian Premier League as he confirmed that he will be leading the Yellow Army in the next season. Going into CSK’s final game of the season, all eyes were on MS Dhoni and the legend came prepared for the big questions.

Dhoni came out for the toss against Royals and even won it, and decided to bat first. During the toss, Dhoni was asked whether he would be returning next year. Responding to this, Dhoni ended all speculations regarding his future in the IPL, saying that he would come back strong next year. He said:

Dhoni also hoped to play in front of the Chepauk crowd next year. He said: “Definitely. It’s a simple reason: it will be unfair to not play in Chennai and say thank you [to the fans]. Mumbai is one place where, as a team and as an individual, I have got a lot of love and affection. But it wouldn’t be nice to the CSK fans.”

He added:

“And also, hopefully next year there will be an opportunity where the teams will be travelling so it will be a like thank you to all the different places where we will be playing games at different venues. Whether it will be my last year or not that’s a big question, because you know we can’t really predict about something two years down the line. But definitely I’ll be working hard to come back strong next year,”

Following Dhoni’s big announcement, social media has been buzzing with amazing reactions. Chennai Super Kings’ official Twitter account also shared a heartfelt post for the four-time IPL-winning captain.

Sharing a picture of Thala, CSK wrote: “#THA7A will roar back stronger in Anbuden! 🥳
#VaaThala #Yellove #WhistlePodu 💛🦁”
