IPL 2022: 10 Best Memes From ‘DC vs SRH’ Game

DC vs SRH: WLLWLWLWLW. Delhi Capitals kept up with their alternate game-winning trend and won their fifth match out of 10 attempts in the IPL 2022, defeating the Sunrisers Hyderabad, who now have lost three in a row. Both the teams are now sitting in the middle of the points table with 10 points each.

It was the redemption game for David Warner, who clattered 92 runs from 58 balls, his entertaining knock comprising 12 fours and 3 towering sixes. After a duck for Mandeep Singh and 10 for Mitchell Marsh, Warner and Rovman Powell subjected the SRH bowlers to a disdainful assault.

Their unbeaten partnership added 122 runs from 66 balls, with Powell hammering 67 from 35 balls, walloping 3 fours and 6 sixes. The pair took Delhi to a sizeable total of 207, which was still gettable for SRH on a flat track and short boundaries at the Brabourne.

However, the SRH openers Abhishek Sharma and Kane Williamson were dismissed for 11 runs combined. SRH middle-order batters kept them alive in the game with their partnerships but DC pacers struck with wickets regularly.

Rahul Tripathi (22 off 18) and Aiden Markram (42 off 25) gave support to the blinder from Nicholas Pooran who plundered 62 from 34 balls and kept the hopes of an SRH miracle alive. It was to be today as Pooran was dismissed by ‘Lord’ Shardul Thakur and that was it for SRH, who now have to think harder about getting back to winning ways.

Adjudged the Player of the Match, David Warner was all elated to score runs and win the game against his former franchise. “I didn’t need extra motivation, we’ve seen what’s happened before, it was good to get the win,” Warner said.

Fans on Twitter hailed Warner and the DC boys for their brilliant victory. Memes and funny tweets galore tonight.
