Though he was playing only the third game of the season but Rinku Singh impressed one and all with his batting performance. His unbroken 66-run stand with Rana helped KKR secure an important victory on Monday. He played a stellar unbeaten knock of 42 runs off 23 balls, smashing 6 fours and 1 six. Rinku Singh was adjudged the Player of the Match for his match-winning knock.

Earlier, Rinku Singh had scored 35 runs against Gujarat Titans and 23 runs in another fine partnership with Nitish Rana against Delhi Capitals.

Meanwhile, impressed with his performance,  during the post-match presentation Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Shreyas Iyer heaped praises on the talented Rinku. He said:

Right from the powerplay when our bowlers conceded just 36 runs and took a wicket, it was just the start we needed. The way Rinku is maintaining his calm, playing only his second or third game, is outstanding. He is a great asset for the franchise for the future.”
