3. Dinesh Karthik
Dinesh Karthik broke into the Indian team after impressing in the youth cricket. The youngster was talented but the emergence of MS Dhoni meant he had to wait for his chances. He came back into the team as a specialist batsman but his inconsistency cost him his place.
While he impressed in the Test series in England in 2007, where he finished as India’s top-scorer but he failed to score a century. Karthik has scored 1403 runs outside with his highest score being 91.
