The Road Safety World Series 2022 kicked off on September 10 with hosts India Legends defeating South Africa Legends by a big margin of 61 runs. Led by batting great Sachin Tendulkar, the India Legend won the inaugural season of this competition last year.
The 8-team tournament is being played across four cities of India – Kanpur, Indore, Dehradun and Raipur.
While most of the players in this Legends league are in their late 30s, nearing 40s, and a number of cricket stars are well beyond the age of 40- there are a few players who are in their early 30s and are younger than many top international stars, including Virat Kohli.
Kohli, the former India skipper, is going strong in international cricket at the age of 33 and will be 34 in November.
Here are 3 cricketers who are younger than Virat Kohli but have already retired from international cricket and are playing in the Road Safety World Series 2022:

Abul Hasan
Former Bangladesh bowling all-rounder Abul Hasan created a world record when he became the first No.10 to score a century on Test debut in 110 years of Test history; he achieved the feat against West Indies in Khulna in November 2012. He was only 20 years old then.

However, Abul couldn’t make do well for Bangladesh after that and was dropped after featuring in 3 Test in which he picked 3 wickets, and in 7 ODIs he couldn’t manage a single wicket, and 4 wickets in 5 T20Is while leaking at more than 10 runs an over.
Now only 30 years old, Abul has retired from international cricket and playing in the RSWS for Bangladesh Legends.
Abhimanyu Mithun

Former India pacer Abhimanyu Mithun retired from international and domestic cricket in 2019 at the age of 30 to get stints in County cricket and other T20 leagues in the world.
Mithun, now 32, played 4 Tests and 5 ODIs picking up a total of 12 wickets in them in 2010 and 2011. The former Karnataka and RCB right-arm pacer is now part of the India Legends team.
Chaturanga de Silva
A left-arm orthodox spinner and a hitter lower down the order, Chaturanga de Silva made his international debut in the 2014 Asia Cup. He played 7 ODIs and 2 T20Is for Sri Lanka between 2014 and 2017, wherein he snared total of 5 wickets and scored a little over 100 runs at below run-a-ball.

In two matches already- against Australia and England Legends, 32-year-old de Silva has taken 4 wickets in the Road Safety World Series 2022.
