3 Players Who Can Be The Game-Changers For Delhi Capitals In WPL 2024

WPL 2024: With less than a fortnight to go for WPL, the speculations have started building and hopes of getting the right combinations are raging through the echelons of each team. For Delhi Capitals who duked it out with the Mumbai Indians in the grand finale of 2023, they will be hoping to make amends to their earlier campaign.

A decent side with a handful of big names in the hut, DC will be hopeful of turning the tide around. They have bigger names in the side and their inclusion would mean that they will only be going from strength to strength. With that being said, here are three players who can make Delhi Capitals the side to watch out for in WPL 2024.

#1 Titas Sadhu

The young fast bowler made all the right noises as she made her debut for the Indian cricket team in the T20Is against England. She was instrumental with the ball in her hands in the U19 World Cup and her eye for detail is what makes her a menacing pick in any franchise, particularly in the shorter formats of the game. She has a wide arsenal and her constant persistence makes her an absolute threat for the opposition.

#2 Jemimah Rodrigues

Despite dwindling returns against Australia in the last three T20Is, Jemimah has been in electric touch before that and her ability to convert those starts into match-winning knocks make her a reckoning force. She is a floater when it comes to batting orders and her versatility to get her willow speak at any point in time, even under intolerable pressure is what makes her a lot more special. She usually bats at number four, a position which would force a batter to blaze an innings that is more about infusing calm and aggression and on occasions choosing any one aspect of the two and making it count.

#3 Jess Jonassen

A proven bowler in the shortest format of the game, Jess Jonassen brags about 243 international wickets in all formats combined. She is one of those rarely gifted players who can change the game with her phenomenal spells while also providing crucial breakthroughs in the middle overs if needed. More importantly she is someone who has a lot of experience, majority of which comes from playing in bigger matches.
