3 Players Who Played IPL For CSK, MI And RCB

The beauty of the Indian Premier League is the diversity it brings to the nation. Players from different nations come together to join forces and make this annual domestic extravaganza into a flamboyant success.
Similarly, one single player also goes on to play for several different franchises, flipping teammates and his styles overnight. Now, this can happen due to two reasons.
One is if the cricketer is mediocre and yet holds a smattering amount of promise in him, that makes other franchises believe that they could make the player change and bring out a different soul which at times holds true.
The other one being the cricketer being extraordinary brilliant which makes all the franchises chase a cricketer to rope him in their ranks.
We will look at three cricketers who have plied their trade for the three most glorious sides of IPL, Chennai Super Kings who are three times champions, Mumbai Indians who are four-time champions and will also be defending the title that they won last year and finally Royal Challengers Bangalore, a team that has always introduced greats of the game but failed to make it to the top.
3. Parthiv Patel

Hailing all the way from Gujrat, Parthiv Patel started his IPL career with Chennai Super Kings. Despite a decent start and an opportunity to keep the stumps, he shortly fell out of favour with the majority of the team and after making 26 appearances for the men in yellow over a span of 2 seasons, he switched his loyalties to Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Once again not able to fire up to his fullest potential, he left Bangalore after playing 12 games for the Virat-led brigade. He managed to amass 205 runs at a pedestal average of 20.50.
After failing to make a lasting impression on Bangalore, he was roped in by Mumbai Indians where his struggles with consistency became more evident and he was barely keeping up with the surroundings.
Much to his reprieve, Bangalore bought him back in 2019 and he still continues to be a part of the Kohli-led outfit.
2. Tim Southee

An extremely underrated cricketer who played a pivotal role in shaping up the posterity of New Zealand’s fast bowling attack was also fortunate enough to make it to the three best sides of the fray.
His debut season in IPL was in 2011, where he played for Chennai Super Kings and all he could manage was 4 wickets from 5 matches.
After a significant hiatus, Southee won himself a call up to Mumbai Indians where he managed to scalp 9 wickets from 11 games in his first season. Haplessly he couldn’t follow this up with a resolute showdown in the upcoming season as he could only manage to register 3 wickets and was axed from the team in no time.
His next pit stop was at Bangalore where he leaked runs at a baffling economy rate of 13.11 which is worse than any other part-time spinner in the tournament.
1. Karn Sharma

Mainly known for his stellar stint with Sunrisers Hyderabad, Sharma managed to play the 2009 IPL finals with Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Sharma joined SRH in 2013 and after a few blistering spells over the course of the next four years, he established himself as a major threat.
He then joined Mumbai Indians in 2017 where he shone with 13 wickets from 9 games. Baffling everyone, Mumbai thought that they would need someone better.
Chennai realised Sharma’s potential and in a bid to bolster their bowling ranks, they notched up Karn and in his due course of time for the Yellow army, he has managed to play 7 games from which he has struck 5 times with the ball.
