The opening duo of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan are considered as one of the deadliest opening players in the ODI format of the game.  However, when it comes to the shortest format of the game, the form of Shikhar Dhawan has taken a dip.

He has been struggling with his form for a long time now in T20I.  However, moving forward, the team management can consider a few young talents to partner with Rohit Sharma in T20I cricket.

Following his performance, he was removed from the team. However, soon he impressed everyone with his performances for Punjab and for India A level.

And finally as a result he was selected for the 3-match test series against South Africa. Given his talent and hard-work, Shubman Gill will soon become a regular name for team India. He has also shown his talent in IPL and has always lived up to the expectations of everyone. He will be a perfect choice to replace Shikhar Dhawan as the opener for team India.
