The Indian Premier League (IPL) has served as a platform for the upcoming cricketers to come and showcase their talent at the grand stage. Many current India players like Jasrpit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohit Sharma, Shivam Dubey, and several others owe their success to the IPL.

The best way to make your presence felt in T20 format is to play a match-winning knock for your team. In this article, we will look at the top four fastest fifties by uncapped Indian batsmen in IPL history.

Ishan Kishan – 17 balls

Ishan Kishan, who celebrated his lockdown birthday yesterday, holds the record for the fastest half-century by an uncapped player in IPL history. The left-handed batsman smacked a fifty off 17 deliveries against KKR in 2018. He eventually scored 62 off 21 deliveries and helped Mumbai thrash their rivals by 102 runs.

Deepak Hooda – 22 balls

IPL 2015, Match 6: Deepak Hooda fifty steers RR to 3-wicket win ...

The night where Deepak Hooda announced his arrival in the IPL against Delhi Daredevils, he scored a 22-ball 50 to inspire Rajasthan Royals to a close win. RR needed 185 to win from 20 overs. They were 130/5 after 15.1 overs and that was when Deepak launched an all out assault, hitting three fours and four sixes to help RR win the game.

Paul Valthaty – 23 balls

Full Scorecard of Chennai Super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab 9th match ...

Paul Valthaty was billed by many as the next big thing in Indian cricket. He grabbed everyone’s attention by slamming an unbeaten century against CSK. In that same match, he had taken just 23 balls to complete his fifty.

Rahul Tripathi – 23 balls

M13: GL vs RPS – Rahul Tripathi 33

Rahul Tripathi was another top-order right-handed batsman who seemed to have a bright future in cricket. However, his career dwindled after he became a part of RR. In his debut season for Pune, Tripathi played an unbelievable knock of 93 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders. He took just 52 balls for his 93 runs, while he had raced to his half-century in just 23 deliveries. Tripathi’s inning helped RPS defeat their opponents that night.
