1.MS Dhoni
The former Indian captain is the closest to the 10000 ODI runs mark. MS Dhoni has 9898 ODI runs and can easily reach 10000 in the 6 match ODI series in South Africa.

MS Dhoni has 9898 runs form 312 ODI he has played for India. His average stands tall at 51.55 and we would love to see him get 10000 ODI runs against his name.
2. Virat Kohli
While the former Indian captain is pretty close to 10000 runs, the present captain is not very far either. Kohli has 9030 ODI runs from 202 matches. This tally includes 32 centuries and all of these runs have come at a handsome average of 55.74.
He was recently named the ICC Cricketer Of The Year and The ICC ODI Cricketer Of The Year as well.
3. AB De Villiers
Mr. 360 degrees is also on the verge of entering the elite 10000 club. He has 9515 runs from 225 ODIs at a staggering average of 54.
AB De Villiers however, has been ruled out of the first 3 ODIs against India owing to a finger injury. He can still get to 10000 ODI runs well within this year.
4. Chris Gayle
The beast from West Indies is also not very far away from the 10000 ODI runs mark. Gayle has 9420 ODI runs from 275 matches. He too is likely to reach 10000 ODI runs in 2018.
