Over the years, the shortest format of the game – T20 cricket has evolved a lot. The T20 cricket has always been kind to the hard-hitting players, who can score some big runs irrespective of the pace of the ball and the condition of the pitch. For the same reason, cricketers like Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite, Kieron Pollard, and many more, have dominated the shortest format of the game.

Here, in this article, we bring you a list of 5 cricketers, who have smashed the most number of sixes in a T20 match. Have a look:




5. Hazratullah Zazai – 16 sixes:

Afghanistan opener Hazratullah Zazai holds the record for hitting the maximum number of sixes in a single T20 innings. While no other batsman has smashed not more than 14 sixes in a T20 international game, on the other hand, Hazratullah Zazai has smashed 16 sixes playing for the Afghanistan cricket team during a bilateral series against Ireland.




4. Dasun Shanaka – 16 sixes:

Sri Lanka’s all-rounding star Dasun Shanaka is the fourth one in this list. Dasun amassed 123 runs for just 46 balls against Saracens Sports Club while playing for Sinhalese Sports Club. During this innings, Dasun Shanaka smashed only 2 fours but 16 sixes.

3. Graham Napier – 16 sixes:

Essex’s domestic cricket star, Graham Napier, played a memorable knock of an unbeaten 152 runs from 58 balls against Sussex, playing for Essex in the year 2008. During his knock, he smashed 10 fours and 16 sixes.

2. Chris Gayle – 18 sixes:

Universal Boss, Chris Gayle is the second one on this list. He played an unbeaten 146 off just 69 balls against Dhaka Dynamite playing for Rangpur Riders in Bangladesh Premier League. Playing a memorable knock, Chris Gayle hit 5 fours and 18 sixes.

1. Hardik Pandya – 20 sixes:

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is the batsman with the most number of sixes in a T20 match. Hardik played 158 runs against BPCL while playing for Reliance One in DY PATIL T20 Cup. During this epic knock, he smashed a total of 20 sixes.
