1. India has picked seven batters, four bowlers, and four all-rounders for ODI World Cup

2. No place for Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma:

Indian keeper-batter Sanju Samson, who was included in India’s Asia Cup 2023 squad as a traveling reserve, was ignored by the World Cup squad. Star batter Tilak Varma, who received his maiden call for India in Asia Cup 2023, was also left out of the squad.

3. Suryakumar Yadav Included In Team Despite Poor Performances:

The number one T20 batter in the world – Suryakumar Yadav has made a name for himself in the shortest format of the game, riding on his stellar performances, however, the talented batter has failed to replicate his form in the 50-over format of the game. He himself admits that his numbers in the 50-over format are not satisfactory, however, the BCCI has shown complete faith in the star batter and has included him in the squad for Asia Cup 2023.

4. No Place For Yuzvendra Chahal:

India’s talented bowler Yuzvendra Chahal, who missed out on the Asia Cup 2023 squad, was once again left out of India’s squad for a crucial tournament. Kuldeep Yadav has been chosen over him to make the side more balanced.

5. Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul included in India’s squad:

India has decided to go ahead with KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, who have just returned from injuries. India has gone with three left-arm spinners while three specialist pacers have been picked.
