T-20 cricket is one of the most demanding formats of the game which leaves a cricketer driving hard for premium excellence and utmost fitness. The gruesome nature of the format also pushes the athletes to the extreme level where consistency becomes the most cardinal criterion for one’s existence.
However, there are always a few players who rose above the norm to keep themselves in the canon long enough to string records which need a good deal of patience and out of the box thinking to consistently outwit the evolution of bowlers.
We will look at the captains with the highest number of T20 international half-centuries that saw them stand out amongst the ordinary.

  1. Eoin Morgan – 9

Morgan has been in sensational form right since his arrival in the shortest format of the game as the English southpaw has amassed 2218 runs from 91 T20 international games, averaging at 31.24. His strike rate of 138.8 also makes him one of the feared batsmen in the roster.
Out of the 14 half-centuries, that he has chronicled in the shortest format of the game, 9 of them came as a captain which is still the highest in the list. With a good deal of cricket left in the southpaw, the numbers can easily go beyond a score.

  1. Kane Williamson – 9

The Kiwi skipper is one of the finest batsmen in the international cricket canon at the moment. Possessing a wide array of shots in his repertoire, Williamson goes into the innings as an anchor and then opens up his blade to haunt the bowlers.
With 1665 runs from 60 T20I games, Williamson has smashed 11 half centuries out of which 9 of them came as a skipper, underlining his brilliance as a leader and New Zealand is already scaling massive heights under him.

  1. Aaron Finch – 8

One of the most successful Australian openers in the shortest format of the game, Aaron Finch is one of the hardest hitters of the cherry in the powerplay. Out of all the nations facing him, India particularly had a hard time containing the right-hander.
The opener has garnered 1989 runs from 61 games that saw him stringing 12 half-centuries, 8 of which arrived as a captain. With IPL 2020 coming up, all eyes can be set on him to turn the tide over.
