5 Cricketers Who Never Got Out On A Golden Duck During Their ODI Careers

Over the years, we have seen cricketers making and breaking records in international cricket. However, some records are special including 100 centuries of Master Blaster, 800 wickets of Muttiah Muralitharan, and 10 wickets in an innings of Anil Kumble. Just like this, there have been cricketers who never got out on golden duck during their ODI career.

5. Jacques Rudolph:

Former South African cricketer Jacques Rudolph has played a total of 45 ODI matches during his cricketing career, where he scored a total of 1174 runs in a total of 39 innings. During these innings, he scored seven half-centuries and his highest score was 81 runs. The special thing about his glorious career is that he never got out for a golden duck in his ODI career.




4. Peter Kirsten:

Another South African cricketer who never got out on a golden duck in his ODI career is Peter Kirsten. He played 40 matches for the South African cricket team, where he scored 1293 runs in 40 innings between 1991 and 1994. During these innings, he has smashed nine 50s and has the highest score of 97 runs.

3. Yashpal Sharma:

Former Indian cricketer Yashpal Sharma, who was also a part of the 1983 World Cup-winning team is also one of the cricketers who never got dismissed on zero. During his career, he played 42 ODI matches from 1978 to 1985, where he scored 883 runs in 40 innings with the help of 4 fifties.

2. Matthew Cross:

Scotland’s star-cricketer Matthew Cross is also one of those cricketers who never got dismissed on a golden duck. During his playing period, Matthew played a total of 52 ODI matches between the years 2014 and 2019, where he scored a total of 1136 runs in 48 innings.

1. Kepler Vessels:

Kepler Vessels is one of the rarest cricketers who played for two countries – Australia and South Africa. Despite playing more than 100 ODIs, Kepler never got out on a golden duck. During his career, he scored 3367 runs in 105 innings of 109 matches, with the help of 26 half-centuries and 1 century.
