England cricket team broke all records in the year 2019 when they won their first-ever ODI World Cup trophy. However, the team was trolled badly as the playing squad had several foreigners including the skipper Eoin Morgan.
Here, we bring you a list of five players who were born in different countries but went on to play for the England cricket team. Have a look:
1. Jofra Archer:
Jofra Archer has become one of the key players of the England bowling lineup and has won several games with his extraordinary performances. However, he has played in several T20 leagues before representing the England cricket team. In order to include Archer in the playing squad for the 2019 world Cup, England Cricket Board changed the minimum years of residence in England to three years from seven years to three years.
2. Jason Roy:

Jason Roy, who was born in Durban, moved to England because of better facilities and career opportunities in England. Over the years, Roy became an important name in the England cricket team. He led a batting revolution in the England cricket team after the World Cup 2015.
3. Kevin Pietersen:
Kevin Pietersen has been one of the most controversial figures in the cricket world. KP left South Africa, after raising his voice against the quota system. He joined Nottinghamshire but left in 2003 after a bitter fight with the skipper. Though he had a controversial career but his popularity always remained unquestionable.
4. Eoin Morgan:
The skipper of the England team in the limited-overs cricket, Eoin Morgan, has represented the Ireland cricket team for a few years. Morgan improved his game as a batsman and as a skipper from 2015 to 2019.
5. Ben Stokes:
Ben Stokes was born in New Zealand however he chose to represent the England cricket team infact and made an impressive debut in county cricket. He has not looked back ever since. Stokes played an instrumental knock of 84 runs, that helped the team win the 2019 World Cup final.
