Shreyas Iyer destroyed the opposition when he hit 147 off just 55 balls in a Mumbai vs Sikkim T20 match. His brilliant knock bolstered the team to an improbable total of 258. Sikkim was no match for the Mumbai team as they ended their innings at 104/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Iyer’s innings was absolutely destructive and till date is the highest T20 score by an Indian.

Manish Pandey- 129*

Manish Pandey made his name in cricket by his brilliant performances in the IPL. He put the nation on notice when he hit 129* in just 54 balls to blow away the Services. His  knock was studded with 12 fours and 10 sixes. Pandey bolstered his team to a commanding 250/3 in the 20 overs. He was already amidst a golden run, leading his team to the Vijay Hazare Trophy and becoming the highest-run getter in the tournament.

Wriddhiman Saha-129




Saha was making his comeback from a debilitating shoulder injury when he smashed his way to a 62-ball 129 for Bengal. The Bengal team posted 234/6 in 20 overs, thanks to Saha’s only second T20 century. Saha has since become a fixture in the KXIP team set-up, and still occasionally plays for India. The emergence of Rishabh Pant as a wicket-keeper batsman has however reduced his chances at international glory.

Speaking of Rishabh Pant, he smashed 128 from 63 balls in a DC vs SRH match in the IPL. Pant had already made his name as a destructive batsman, thanks to his performances in the domestic circuit and the occasional IPL innings. However he proved his critics wrong by demolishing the famed SRH bowling unit by maintaining a strike rate of more than 200. His century wen in vain however, as Dhawan and SRH captain Kane Williamson batted brilliantly to win the game for the Hyderabad franchise.

Murali Vijay had made his name in the Test and ODI format as a brilliant opener. When Dhoni showed faith in him by picking him in the auctions, Vijay repaid the faith in kind, as he demolished Rajasthan Royals by hitting 127 runs in just 56 balls. Chennai Super Kings won the match- which was a high-scoring affair. Royals came close to winning the match, but ended up 23 runs short of CSK’s 246 run total.
