IPL Auction: Kolkata Knight Riders splurged a good deal of money behind Indians who weren’t up to the mark in the last season and belted out a catastrophic showdown that led to Kolkata being ejected from the tournament before the play-offs.
Players like Nikhil Naik and Rinku Singh were downright pathetic and also raised a million questions about the fitness of the players. Before hitting the stride in the auction for the upcoming season, Kolkata will have to put in a good deal of thoughts to have a good look at their Indian base. 1. Monu Singh
Despite being around for quite a while, Monu Singh couldn’t make himself any inroads at the elite level. It is sad to see that a career that once started on an extremely promising note shortly fizzled out to dust and now he is a mere bench warmer in the big sides whenever it comes to headlining any major tournament.

It has been some time that this man has been a part of competitive cricket. Coming to the epitome of domestic cricket in India, it is expected that players who are making the cut must have a good deal or a glittering pedigree to underpin their credentials.
However, Tejinder is still to scratch the surface, even with the opportunities that he has got and IPL seems a far cry for this youngster.
No matter how lucrative this buy looks at the first go, it is not too hard to predict that he won’t be lasting a mile in the long race, especially when the party arrives in India. KKR will be doing good to let this youngster slip to others for the upcoming edition of the campaign.
3. Ankit Rajpoot
Raving about fast bowlers, Kolkata is teeming with two young sensations like Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti who pulled off a decent show in the last edition of the tournament.
Ankit started the campaign on a categorical note but was shortly reduced to the sidelines after a few woeful outings. Though he was able to emanate pace, Ankit failed to strike the surface with consistency and fell out of favor with the management in no time.
KKR already has a good deal of pace in their hut and won’t really be needing an additional fast bowler to augment some extra heat to the line-up, and they must chase Rajpoot in the IPL auction.
4. Anirudha Joshi
He is labeled as a budding sensation in the current domestic cricketing canon. However, he has a long way to go before he makes the leap for a tournament as astronomical as the Indian Premier League.
Kolkata’s attempt at harnessing young blood wasn’t really decent enough and if they have any intentions of bringing Anirudha on board, it is quite anticipated that this won’t really be going in a good direction.

5. Murali Vijay
