In limited overs cricket, all-rounders have become a necessity. A T20 side is as good as its all-rounders and we have some great all-rounders from across the globe who are currently playing cricket for their respective nations. As the IPL auctions are near, the franchises would be thinking about all these all-rounders.
Al rounders are power player who can turn a game on its head single-handedly. Among the best all-rounders in modern day cricket Chris Morris, Andre Russel, Hardik Pandya, and Jadeja have already been retained by their respective teams.
So, now these are the all-rounders which are expected to be sold for hefty amounts in the IPL auctions.
1. Ben Stokes
If the England cricketer could make it to the IPL and if he would be available despite charges framed against his name, the IPL teams would not mind paying a handsome amount for him. He may even be sold for a price much higher than that of Virat Kohli.
Ben Stokes is the best all-rounder in modern day cricket and he is very clinical with the bat as well as the ball. It is very hard for the opposition to keep him away from the game. He is always in the face of the opposition. Stokes has a batting strike rate of over 136 in T20Is.
2. Dwayne Bravo
He is a champion and the opposition finds it really difficult to stop him. Bravo is one of the best death overs bowlers in the shortest format of the game and he can be destructive with the bat too. A batting strike rate of 117 and 52 wickets in T20 internationals make him a great bet. He is also going for a hefty price in the auctions for sure.
3. James Faulkner
Faulkner becomes the favorite all-rounder for everyone is Ben Stokes is not available. Faulkner can turn a match on its head single-handedly. He is a brilliant death overs bowler and he has scalped 36 wickets from just 24 T20I matches with best figures of 5 for 27. He is a very high utility player.
4. Marcus Stoinis
He has gained himself some big repute as an all-rounder in very little time. His utility is high both, with the willow and the ball. Marcus Stoinis averages 66.4 for Australia in One Day Internationals and he is only getting better with time. He brings in a great flexibility to the playing XI.
5. Shakib Al Hasan
Shakib Al Hasan brings in a great experience and an important presence. Shakib is amply experienced with respect to T20s and has a batting strike rate of 121. He is equally good with the ball too and has picked 71 wickets from 63 T20 internationals for Bangladesh.
