After a long gap of a few months, because of the Coronavirus pandemic, cricket is finally coming back. Recently, a wave of happiness hit the fans after the international cricket resumed with teams like England, Ireland, West Indies and Pakistan locking horns against each other. Despite the matches being held behind closed doors, the excitement among the fans hasn’t gone down.
Fans are excitedly waiting for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League, which will kickstart from September 19 in UAE. However, ahead of the league, CPL will be kickstarting from today. Over the years, CPL has garnered fans from across the world. In fact, several IPL stars will be seen playing in CPL.

1. Chris Lynn – St Kitts and Nevis Patriots:
Australian batsman Chris Lynn, who impressed one and all with his explosive stroke-play, is a regular face in IPL, BBL, and CPL.
After playing for Jamaica Tallawahs, Guyana Amazon Warriors, and Trinbago Knight Riders, Chris Lynn will now be seen playing for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Chris Lynn boats of a lethal strike rate of 144.15 in the shortest format of the game. Chris Lynn, who can turn any match to a victory with his amazing performance, will aim to make a strong impact especially after he was released by Kolkata Knight Riders last year.
2. Rashid Khan- Barbados Tridents:
Rashid Khan impressed one and all with his amazing performances for Sunrisers Hyderabad, ever since he has debuted in IPL. Besides this, the 21-year-old has achieved a lot of milestones in five years of his international cricket, that only a few people are able to in their lifetime. Under the leadership and guidance of players like David Warner and Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan has matured into a reliable player and has done wonders for his team in IPL.
Rashid Khan will be seen playing for Barbados Tridents in CPL 2020 and will get an opportunity to share the dressing room with cricketing stalwarts like Jason Holder, Mitchell Santner, and Corey Anderson.
3. Imran Tahir- Guyana Amazon Warriors:
Imran Tahir, the 41-year-old South African spin king is one of the oldest and the most experienced cricketers currently active in the cricket world. Though he has retired from the ODI format of the game but the cricketer is still doing wonders in the shortest format of the game.
Imran Tahir is a regular face in IPL and has been a vital player for Chennai Super Kings for the last couple of years. He has scalped 79 wickets at an average of 20.39 and an economy of 7.88.
In CPL, Imran Tahir will be seen playing for Guyana Amazon Warriors along with amazing cricketers like Shimron Hetmyer, Ross Taylor, and Nicholas Pooran.
4. Mitchell Santner- Barbados Tridents:
One of the very talented all-rounders around the world, Mitchell Santner has been roped in by MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings. However, because of the presence of many great players like Imran Tahir, Dwayne Bravo, and Ravindra Jadeja, he hardly gets a chance to feature in the team.
Playing for Barbados Tridents in CPL 2020, Santner will be trying his best to leave a mark with his performance.
5. Mujeeb Ur Rahman- Jamaica Tallawah:
Another talented youngster from Afghanistan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman has emerged out to be one of the key players for his team because of his skill with the new ball and his ability to stop the run flow.
He has been signed up by Kings XI Punjab in IPL and over the last few years, he has proved his value in the team. He has taken 17 wickets with an average of over 28 and an economy of 7.96 in 16 IPL matches he has played so far.
He will be seen playing for Rovman Powell led Jamaica Tallawahs and will be trying his best to hone his skills even further.
