MS Dhoni, the former Indian skipper is regarded as one of the most successful skippers in the history of the Indian cricket team. He took the Indian cricket team to new heights and achieved many milestones. He has done a lot for team India and his contribution can never be expressed into words. However, despite his incredible running between the pitch, there have been times when MS Dhoni was dismissed by tragic run-outs.

MS Dhoni has had a glorious career so far, however, his debut wasn’t that memorable. On his ODI debut match against Bangladesh in the year 2004, MS Dhoni found himself, victim, to one of the most heartbreaking dismissal – run-out for 0.

After nudging the delivery from Mohammad Rafique, MS Dhoni set off a non-existent single. However, he was sent back by Mohammad Kaif. Unfortunately, MS Dhoni lost his flow and was dismissed.

4. Dhoni Getting Run-Out On 99 Against England:

In 2012, during the 4th Test of England’s tour of India, MS Dhoni once again became a victim of a heartbreaking dismissal. MS Dhoni amassed 99 runs off 246 balls. As the wicket-keeper batsman was inching closer to the century, he was sent back to the pavilion by Alastair Cook.
