India is a cricket crazy nation, where almost everyone loves to follow the game. Fans treat cricketers as superstars, therefore a lot of Indians dream to represent their country. The problem is that India has produced some world-class cricketers and only 11 can play in one team.
In a country of a billion, some brilliant players have to sit on the bench waiting for their turn. To impress selectors batsmen keep piling on runs and bowlers keep taking wickets in Domestic cricket but there is a long waiting list. Sometimes very talented players never get a chance to play for India due to the competition for places. Let us look at some domestic stars who never got a chance to play for India.
5. Sitanshu Kotak

Sitanshu Kotak was one of the most prolific scorers in the Ranji Trophy in the 1990s. The Saurashtra legend impressed everyone with his performances in the domestic but sadly it was not enough to earn a call-up in the national team.
He scored 8061 runs in 130 first-class matches with 15 centuries but the competition in the batting order proved to be too stiff for him. Currently, he is serving as the coach of Indian ‘A’ and Indian U19 team after Rahul Dravid vacated the post.
