Jofra Archer has wreaked havoc around the world with his express fast bowling in his very first season in international cricket, but apart from his thunderbolt bowling, the 24-year old is also famous for his tweets.
Jofra has been active on twitter since quite an early age and some of the tweets that he posted, while he was not playing at the senior level and was not as famous as he is now, have been getting viral in the last couple of weeks.
Those tweets have a funny co-relation with some of the decisions that have been taken by the Indian government with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Indian fans are re-tweeting Jofra’s old tweets and are calling him a visionary who could see things coming years ago.
Here are three funniest tweets of Jofra which have gone viral recently:
Three weeks at home ain’t enough
When the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi announced that the nation will be under lockdown for three weeks, many people hailed it as a good move, but some were also of the opinion that the PM would have to extend the lockdown further because the period of three weeks wasn’t enough.
There was a tweet regarding that in Jofra’s archives already. Here it is-

March 24th
Incidentally, the date at which the Indian PM announced the lockdown, it was 24th of March. Of course, Jofra would not have anticipated it six years ago, but there is a tweet he posted in 2013 which says “March 24th”?
Now the Barbados born England cricketer must have meant it in some other way. It was probably related to a cricket match, but twitter users are now relating to the date of the lockdown announcement by the Indian PM.
Here is the tweet –

No place to run
Apart from the steps and the measures taken by the Indian government, an old tweet of Jofra gives the impression that the fast bowler had predicted the pandemic itself in 2013.
There is a tweet that says that there will be a day when people will have no idea where they should go.

There will be, no place to run, that day will come

Lights out
Amid the lockdown, Prime Minister Modi addressed the nation again and asked people to light candles, torch and mobile flash from their balconies at 9 pm on 5th of April to show their solidarity with doctors, nurses, sanitization workers and the police force who are the front line warriors of this battle.
Jofra again had a tweet to be co-related to this as well. Here is the tweet –
Lights out
