Over the years, the Indian Premier League has become one of the most loved and followed T20 leagues in the world as the tournament not just gives the cricketers a whopping amount of salary, but also gives the youngsters a stage to showcase their talent in front of the world. While many cricketers who are able to cement their places in the franchises, on the other hand, there are may who went unsold during the IPL 2020.
Here, we bring you a list of 5 cricketers who went unsold in IPL 2020 and will be missed badly. Have a look:
1. Yusuf Pathan:

Yusuf Pathan has been one of the most substantial monikers of IPL right from the inception of the Indian Premier League. Besides being an exceptional finisher, Yusuf Pathan has been an impressive all-rounder with 3204 runs that he amassed in 174 games. He managed to take 42 wickets. Also, Yusuf Pathan managed to hammer 158 sixes in his glorious career of 12 years.
He contributed a lot to his team Kolkata Knight Riders during its glorious wins in 2012 and 2014. Yusuf has also played the role of a finisher for Sunrisers Hyderabad, however, he was released before the auction.
Yusuf Pathan failed to find a buyer in IPL 2020, given his age (37) and slowing reflexes as well, which were evident in last season.
2. Evin Lewis:

One of the best power-hitters from the current Caribbean players, Evin Lewis’ absence from IPL 2020 is a stroke of sheer misfortune. Evin Lewis has already impressed one and all with his powerful performances. He amassed 430 runs from 16 games.
Evin Lewis, the phenomenal batsman, who generally bats in the middle order, could plan an imperative catalyst in the side that saw him being picked over many other prominent names. However, he went unsold in the IPL 2020 auction as the franchises picked other substantial players over him.
3. Martin Guptill:

Martin Guptill, another black Cap in this list, is a stellar cricketer, however, he has failed to make it big in the Indian Premier League. In the 13 games he played, he could only score 270 runs. He failed to perform everyone with his performances and eventually went unsold in the IPL 2020 auction.
4. Tim Southee:

The talented fast bowler Tim Southee enjoyed his time away from IPL previously during the 2012 and 2013 edition of the Indian Premier League when he failed to find himself a buyer. But later, Tim turned the tide around and gave a solid performance.
In his Indian Premier League career, Tim Southee managed to pick 28 wickets while scoring 115 runs that saw a match-winning performance, where he scored 36 runs.
5. Carlos Braithwaite:

The big hitter, who took the West Indies cricket team to new heights. His performance against Ben Stokes, where he smashed Ben for four consecutive sixes at Eden Gardens is still afresh in everyone’s mind.
In 16 matches he played, Braithwait could only manage to score 181 runs and 13 wickets with a strike rate of 163.06
