6 Most Improved Indian Cricketers During The Home Season 2016/17

1) Wriddhiman Saha

Wriddhiman Saha is a teamman. He is one of the those cricketers who are always ready to contribute for the team, sidelining their own personal ambitions and targets. Saha was under a lot of pressure to do well in the 2016/17 season as it was very important for him to come out of MS Dhoni’s shadow and establish himself as the first-choice wicketkeeper for India.

Saha scored 2 hundreds in the season and his wicketkeeping skills were exemplary behind the stumps. It can be safely said that Wriddhiman Saha will be India’s first-choice wicketkeeper in Test cricket for the next few years.

2) Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is one of the best swing bowlers in the world. His ability to swing the ball both ways on any surface has troubled some of the best batsmen in world cricket. Earlier, before this season, the biggest criticism that Bhuvneshwar had to face was his average speed. But, in the 2016/17 season, Bhuvneshwar worked very hard on his fitness and now he bowls between 135 km/h to 140 km/h.

He didn’t play too many matches and he doesn’t have good numbers to show, but whenever he got the opportunity he bowled well and swung the ball at good pace.
