There are certain players who are loved by fans no matter which country they’re from, thanks to their ability to stay entertaining and humble off the pitch. Here are 7 players who are loved by fans worldwide:

AB De Villiers:

The South African powerhouse of a performer is one player who has a massive fan following all across the world. His ability to play some beautiful shots under pressure gives him an edge over other batsmen. He is so good that his nickname is Mr.360 – for his ability to hit the ball to all parts of the ground. He is also a class fielder and does not allow the opposition batsmen any space to take quick singles.

Kane Williamson:

The New Zealander is considered to be one of the best batsmen in the world but is also very humble and soft-spoken. His down-to-earth demeanour and ability with the bat make him an internationally loved player. He is the future of the New Zealand team and will probably go on to break many more records for country.

Shakib Al-Hasan:

The Bangladeshi all-rounder is very popular. Not only in his country, but for his franchise KKR too,  Shakib enjoys a superb fan base. His calm attitude coupled with his incredible talent to bowl and bat equally well, make him a universally loved player. He has been at the forefront of many Bangladeshi victories in the recent past.

Ben Stokes:

The English all-rounder might have been the villain during the World T20 Finals last year but he has certainly made his way back to one of the best all-rounders in the world. He is also a fun chap off the field and interacts with his fans who have endeared themselves to him.

Misbah Ul Haq:

One of the best Pakistani players of recent times, Misbah is loved by many fans across the world because of the way he has managed to stay consistent even  past the age of 33. Now 41 and just retired, Misbah is an undoubted Pakistani legend who will be missed.

MS Dhoni:

Captain Cool as he is popularly known is a major attraction for fans across the world thanks to his amazing finishing abilities. He is also one of the most successful captains in the history of the game and is able to inspire his team from behind the stumps. Dhoni is undoubtedly one of the most loved players in the world.

DJ Bravo:

The happy-go-lucky West Indian all-rounder is also another player who is loved by everyone. He has a little jig after every wicket and is also a fun character, both on and off the field. His song, “Champion” was a massive hit that thrilled fans all over.
