Dinesh Karthik:
One of the most talked about marriages in the world of sport is Dinesh Karthik and Dipika Pallikal. The cricketer and the squash player got married in a beautiful ceremony and are now happily with each other. This is however, Dinesh Karthik’s second marriage after his divorce from first wife, Nikita. Nikita had an affair behind Karthik’s back with his teammate, Murali Vijay and got pregnant with his child. The two divorced and Vijay is now married to Nikita and both parties live their own separate lives.
Yograj Singh:
A popular Indian cricketer of the past, Yograj Singh was also an actor and politician. He was married to Shabnam, with whom he had Yuvraj Singh, current Indian cricketer. However, it didn’t last long because it was alleged that Shabnam wanted to be more independent while Yograj did not approve. The two were divorced and Yograj married Satveer Kaur. He has two kids with her and Yuvraj is close to both sides.
Vinod Kambli:
Popular Mumbai and India batsman Vinod Kambli was another one who found love in his second innings. He was first married to Noella Lewis who was a receptionist. Things did not turn out too well and Kambli had an affair with former model Andrea Hewitt. He divorced Noella and married Andrea with whom he has a son.
Mohammad Azharuddin:
The former captain of the Indian team was married to Naureen with whom he had two sons, Ayaz and Asad. However, he divorced and married popular actress Sangeeta Bijlani with whom he was involved. The two divorced and Azhar married Bijlani in 1998.
Imran Khan:
One of the most high-profile marriages of Pakistan was that of Imran Khan with Jemima, a British born Pakistani. The two had a volatile relationship and it ended when Jemima was not able to adjust to the Pakistani conditions. In Jan 2015 however, Khan married British-Pakistani journalist Reham Khan.
Shoaib Malik:
The Pakistani player was married to Sania Mirza in a very popular ceremony back. However, a woman named Ayesha Siddiqui claimed that Malik was still married to her. The two settled the matter out of court and divorced formally.
Wasim Akram:
The legendary Pakistani bowler lost his first wife Huma Mufti in the year 1995. She died after an illness that caused multiple organ failure. However, he found love again in the form of Shaniera Thompson who was a former PR consultant.
