Is Hardik Pandya Ruled Out Of World Cup? BCCI Gives Update On All-Rounder’s Injury

The Indian cricket team has been given a massive concern as all-rounder Hardik Pandya walked off the field during the IND vs BAN match on Thursday at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

During India’s bowling, Hardik Pandya suffered what looks like an ankle injury, and this is a matter of grave concern for the team management and the fans as Pandya is a key all-rounder in the side without him the balance of the team gets messed up.

Hardik Pandya came on to bowl in the 9th over of Bangladesh’s innings and was hit for two consecutive fours by Litton Das, the second of which was hit straight by Das. Pandya tried to stop with his right foot in his followthrough, but neither could he stop the ball and he slipped in the process. It feels like Hardik overstretched his leg in order to stop the ball.

He went down on the ground as the physio came running in. After being treated for a while, Hardik Pandya stood up and tried to see if he could bowl but the pain was too much for him to bear that he could only hobble. So he left the field. Virat Kohli then bowled the remaining three balls of the over; this was the first time Kohli bowled in ODI cricket since 2017.
