[VIDEO] Virat Kohli Got Emotional After Scoring His Century Against Bangladesh

Indian batting superstar once again showcased his immense batting prowess as he smashed his 48th century in the ODI format during the ODI World Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh. Riding on Kohli’s stellar century, the Indian cricket team registered their 4th consecutive win in the ongoing tournament, continuing their unbeaten winning streak.

Chasing the target of 257 runs, the Indian captain Rohit Sharma along with his partner Shubman Gill gave a perfect start to the innings. While Rohit Sharma played a quickfire 40-ball 48 knock, on the other hand, Shubman Gill scored a smooth 53 off 55 deliveries, registering his maiden fifty in the World Cup. The duo stitched together 88 runs before Rohit Sharma got out.

Virat Kohli walked out to bat at number 3 and got off to a dream start when he smashed back-to-back free hits from Hasan Mahmud, Kohli smashed for a boundary and a six.

Kohli joined forces with KL Rahul and steered India to a remarkable win. In the process, Virat Kohli also completed his 48th ODI Century and also completed 26,000 international runs.

Virat helped team India reach a stage where the victory was guaranteed and then he set his eyes on the century. Virat remained unbeaten on 103 runs off 97 balls as he completed the chase for team India. His sensational knock was laced with 6 fours and 4 sixes.

India won by 7 wickets to register their 4 consecutive wins in the ICC World Cup 2023 and this was Kohli’s 48th ODI ton and 78th international ton.

Meanwhile, as Kohli reached the triple-figure mark, he got a bit emotional. He was seen dedicating the century to his dad as he looked up in the sky. The video of his celebration has gone viral.
