[Watch] Rohit Sharma’s Amazing Reaction As T Dilip Reveals Best Fielder In A Unique Way

The reactions of India captain Rohit Sharma and other players to the fielding coach T Dilip’s unique way of announcing the best fielder medal after the IND vs NZ game in Dharamsala have gone viral.

India defeated New Zealand on Sunday in Dharamsala by 4 wickets to continue their winning chariot in the World Cup 2023.

Fielding coach T Dilip named Shreyas Iyer as the best Indian fielder of the game. Iyer took a terrific diving catch of Devon Conway early in the match. Iyer was also a live wire in the field, stopping crucial runs and even saving boundaries in the deep by diving on the outfield which wasn’t a safe outfield in Dharamsala. Eventually, the runs saved by Iyer became crucial as the match went in the last few overs with Virat Kohli guiding the side home with his 95.

T Dilip this time found a very unique and unusual way of announcing the winner of the best fielder medal. While in the previous match in Pune, he showed the winner on the giant screen, this time he went one step further to get the spider-cam to bring a picture of Shreyas Iyer along with the medal.

The BCCI uploaded the video of this event. India captain Rohit Sharma was sitting on a sofa and when T Dilip asked the players to come out in the field, Rohit Sharma was as excited as a child. He could be then seen smiling and laughing along with other players as the spider-cam brought the best fielder medal. All players then mobbed Shreyas Iyer and congratulated him.

India skipper Rohit Sharma was in full praise of Mohammed Shami, who took a brilliant five-wicket haul, after coming in the side to replace Shardul Thakur. Shami became the first Indian to take two five-wicket hauls in ODI World Cup.

“Shami took the oppurtunity with both hands. He has the experience in these conditions and is a class bowler. At one stage, we were looking at 300 plus. Credit to our bowlers at the back end,” Rohit Sharma said.
