This region also includes Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant’s house in front of which the railway has put these pillars.

This news went viral in rapid time on Monday.

In has been reported that people had been encroaching on the Railway property for a very long time. Having taken notice to it, the railway administration began a strict action against the encroachment four days ago in Roorkee’s Dhandhera region. Even the Indian player’s home wasn’t spared.

A Member Of Legislative Assembly from (MLA) Uttrakhand, Umesh Kumar, brought this to fans’ attention on social media. He took up this matter with PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah while also tagging the Indian railways, slamming the administration for disrespecting an Indian cricketer by erecting pillars in front of Pant’s house.

“This is the mother of a member of the Indian cricket team @RishabhPant17. Railways have blocked the way to his house by erecting pillars in front of his residence in Roorkee. Is this how you respect your players? @narendramodi @AmitShah @PMOIndia @RailMinIndia Please take note,” Umesh Kumar tweeted.

Because of these pillars being grounded right in front of the houses, the residents are having problem in their daily activity of moving in and out of the house.

Interestingly, the Uttarakhand government had appointed Rishabh Pant as the brand ambassador of the state a few months ago. Pant was named the brand ambassador to inspire the youth of the state to participate in sports and promote public health, according to CM Pushkar Singh Dhami’s tweet.

Speaking of Pant, the wicket-keeper is currently in Bangladesh for the 2 Test series. In the Chattogram Test, which India won by 188 runs, Pant scored a counter-attacking 46 in the fist innings. With the gloves, Pant was brilliant taking 4 catches and affecting 4 stumpings in the game.
