The legendary Indian all-rounders Yuvraj Singh turned 41 earlier this week, on December 12. The elegant cricketer, flamboyant both on and off the field, received love and wishes from all corners, from personalities and fans across fields.
One special wish came from his good friend and former teammate, the Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar, who posted a funny birthday post for India’s 2011 World Cup hero, Yuvraj, who played a crucial role in India winning their second ODI World Cup title, and their first since 1983.
Sachin Tendulkar had taken to Instagram to share a video of himself and Yuvraj enjoying some quality time together during the Road Safety World Series earlier this year where the duo, along with some other former Indian cricketers, took the field.
In the video, both Sachin and Yuvraj can be seen having a cheerful time, cherishing the brisk wind from a cooler leaving their hairs messy.
“There’s always one friend with whom you can let your hair down. Happy birthday Yuvi,” Tendulkar captioned the video.
Yuvraj commented: “Lol thanks paji I think we need to do a shampoo add together like this.”
While Tendulkar didn’t reply to Yuvraj then, he did today on Saturday. And it was quite a hilarious retort that the Master Blaster came up with, showing how he has levelled up his pun game.
Complementing Yuvraj’s idea of doing a shampoo advertisement together, Tendulkar added: “That would be an ad head & shoulders above the others, leaving the audience Pantene for more!”

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Yuvraj Singh faced severe backlash from fans after he deleted a clip of MS Dhoni from a video that a fan had made for him and which he shared on Twitter.
Yuvraj Singh reposted a video from a fan-run Twitter account, @GemsOfCricket, that made a tributary video for the all-rounder. The video traverses Yuvraj’s journey from a child to a world-beating cricketer; his highs and lows; and some of the stills of his memorable moments with his Indian teammates.
However, in his reposted video, Yuvraj Singh removed the image of himself and MS Dhoni. In the original video, at around the 37th second, Yuvraj and Dhoni can be seen riding on a bike after a victory. But, Singh deleted that image of himself with Dhoni and shared the rest of the video, thanking the creator.
Netizens trolled and slammed Yuvraj Singh for showing such behavior toward his former captain and who was also his good friend in the past. A fan even posted stills from MS Dhoni’s retirement video where Yuvraj is included multiple times.
