Indian keeper-batter Rishabh Pant channeled the inner MS Dhoni inside him as he produced a lightning-fast stumping on the fourth day of the ongoing 1st Test match against Bangladesh at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. Chasing the massive target of 513 runs, the Bangladesh side produced some fightback on Day 4 of the thrilling content. However, the Indian cricket team bounced back in the last two sessions of the day to claim six wickets and take the back seat.

The last wicket of the day came through the quick glovework from Rishabh Pant as Nurul Hasan tried his best to get his foot back in the crease however the Indian keeper was amazing with his speed. As a result, Hasan was dismissed for just 3 runs.

The moment took place on the final ball of the 88th over when Axar Patel gave some air to the ball as it went away from Hasan. Pant grabbed the opportunity as he lightning-quick to dislodge the ball. This was Axar’s second wicket of the over having already dismissed keeper Mushfiqur Rahman earlier to give a breakthrough to team India.

What a stumping by R. Pant. Just like lightning,he might have missed a catch an over before but what a comeback. Absolutely brilliant stumping and especially magical bowling by Axar patel.#INDvBAN

The dismissal came as a quick redemption for Rishabh, who had just dropped a catch in the previous over. Yes, Umesh Yadav produced an edge from Mushfiqur however Pant couldn’t hold onto the catch, which threatened to be a costly blow for team India. Earlier in the day, Rishabh had produced a catch for the ages to produce team India’s first wicket and end the opening partnership of 124 runs. After Kohli dropped a sitter of Najmul Hossain, Pant showed extraordinary effort as he caught the ball on the rebound.
