Veteran Indian bowler Ravi Ashwin has once again hogged all the limelight after he displayed his stunning batting skills and registered a stunning half-century to help India breach the 400-run mark in the middle and batted with a strike-rate of 51.33 for his score of 58 off 113 balls. After Ashwin’s crucial knock, team India posted a target of 404 runs.
Bangladesh keeper mocked Ravi Ashwin

Ashwin’s crucial knock came to an end after he was dismissed by Nurul Hasan off Mehidy Hasan. Ravichandran Ashwin charged down the crease for a big shot but he ended up getting stumped. However, Hasan seemingly mocked Ashwin before stumping him.
The 29-year-old didn’t stump the batter right away but he waited for a reaction from him. The off-spinner saw Ashwin’s move and just held his length back. Ashwin was nowhere near getting the bat to the ball. That is where the interesting event took place. A lil delay could have cost Bangladesh a lot and it wasn’t a smart move by the keeper to mock Ashwin.
The video of the same has been going viral on the internet. Watch the video:

Meanwhile, the move didn’t go down well with the fans, who are slamming the Bangladesh keeper-batter left, right and center on Twitter. Check out some of the reactions from the fans:
Would have a internet storming moment had Ashwin would have made his ground before Nurul Hasan would have dislogged the bails.

Ravichandran Ashwin gone for 58 runs of 113 balls, he was looking for a maximum but got stumped,
BUT seriously I dont like mocking behavior of Bangladeshi Nurul Hasan, he hhas to stump hastily, Why he waited? #INDvsBAN— Syed Faiz Abbas (@Faizabdii) December 15, 2022
This Bangladeshi WK Nurul Hasan too cocky, he almost lost the match for Bangladesh at the WC against Zimbabwe with his oversmartness & now this against Ravichandran Ashwin.#BANvIND

Talking about the game, team India added 19 more runs after Ashwin’s dismissal. Kuldeep Yadav also showed his batting skills and contributed 40 runs. He faced 114 deliveries. Later when Bangladesh came out to bat, the Indian side made a dream start with the ball as Mohammed Siraj dismissed Najmul Hossain Shanto on the very first delivery of Bangladesh’s innings. In the 3rd over, Umesh picked the wicket of Yasir Ali and Siraj dismissed two more players before the completion of the 20th over to leave the hosts reeling at 56/4. (At the time of writing this article, Bangladesh was trailing by 271 runs and had already lost 8 wickets.)
