BAN vs IND WATCH: Virat Kohli Teased Bangladesh Crowd After Siraj Took Revenge On Litton Das

After a day of hard graft for the batters on Day 1 of the Chattogram Test against Bangladesh, Team India enjoyed an equally successful Day 2, this time with the bowlers running the show. So much so that now India are in a position of ascendancy and can even look to enforce a follow-on to the hosts.

Shreyas Iyer fell early in the morning, falling short of his century by only 14 runs. But R Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav frustrated the hosts with their partnership of 92 runs; Ashwin scored 58 while Kuldeep scored 40 before India were bowled out for a big total of 404, which later was made to seem gigantic as Bangladesh were reduced to 133/8 by the end of Day 2 as Mohammed Siraj took 3 wickets, Umran Yadav picked 1 scalp before Kuldeep Yadav’s spin web trapped 4 Bangladeshi batters.

Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj were animated after Litton Das’ wicket

Mohammed Siraj and Umesh Yadav’s new ball spells set the tone for India’s dominance with the ball, leaving Bangladesh reeling at 56/4 before Kuldeep entered the action.

Litton Das’ dismissal brought out the aggressive side of Mohammed Siraj and Virat Kohli. Siraj and Das were involved in a verbal battle before the pacer shut down the batter and Kohi too joined in the fun, poking at the crowd.

On the ball before Siraj had castled Litton Das, the bowler had thrown some verbal volleys toward Das who gestured that he couldn’t hear him properly amid the noise, which honestly wasn’t much as there was a low crowd turnaround.

On the next ball, Siraj had Das chopping onto the stumps and brought out his trademark celebration of a finger on his lips. This wicket shut the small crowd and Kohli, fielding in the slips, can be seen putting his hands on his ear as the Bangladeshi supporters were silenced.

The video of Virat Kohli’s reaction has gone viral on social media:
